Municipality of Popovo began the preparations for organizing the 9th Festival of Operations “Golden Eye” with international participation, in memory of the great Bulgarian cinematographer Dimo ​​Kolarov.
The festival will be held from 17 to 20 October 2018 in the town of Popovo – the town of Dimo ​​Kolarov. Organizer is the Municipality of Popovo and co-organizers: Union of Bulgarian Film Makers, Ministry of Culture – EA “National Film Center”, UVT and National Culture Fund.
The aim of the ninth edition is for the first time in the program to attract international participants. The main mission of the festival is to make Popovo an attraction center for filmmakers from different countries. Productions of contemporary national and international cinema will be presented, with a public display of the last two years.
The status of the festival is confirmed by the organizers and co-organizers and can be found on the official websites of: Popovo Municipality, the Union of Bulgarian Film Makers and the site of the festival and applications are already accepted. The program will include the following categories: feature – length and short films, documentary and student productions.
